Resolution for the Allocation and Interfund Transfer of Unexpended 2015 Budget Authority to the Equipment Reserve Fund.

Recommended Action: Adopt the resolution.
State budget law (K.S.A. 19-119) allows for the interfund transfer of monies to the Equipment Reserve Fund via resolution. The Equipment Reserve Fund may be used for the acquisition of equipment, machinery, vehicles, computer hardware, software, software design and implementation, or personal property.
Based on projected 2015 year-end budget authority balances and organizational needs, the sole project requested for transfer to the Equipment Reserve Fund is:

Alternatives: Do not approve the interfund transfer.
Financial Considerations: The requested action will transfer $25,000 from the Emergency Medical Services Fund. An independent fund center will be created for this project in the Equipment Reserve Fund. Upon completion of the project, any residual balance will be returned to the Emergency Medical Services Fund.
