Resolution amending the agenda policy for Fire District No. 1.

Recommended Action: Adopt the Resolution.
At the request of the Board of County Commissioners, the agenda policy is being amended to allow public comment to be made at all regular Wednesday meetings without contacting the Manager's Office in advance. Citizens will still be able to sign up to formally address the BOCC should they choose to do so. The Resolution is necessary so that the Fire District No. 1 agenda policy is in line with the BOCC agenda policy. This amended policy will take effect as soon as it is adopted.
Alternatives: The BOCC could choose not to adopt the Resolution.
Financial Considerations: None.
Legal Considerations: The Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners (the Board) is authorized to adopt rules and regulations to govern the transaction of the Board’s business by K.S.A. 19-218.
Policy Considerations: The policy change has been vetting through the appropriate channels prior to going on the agenda.
