Resolution levying Special Assessments for Road Improvements serving Cessna Addition (District 2).

Recommended Action: Approve the resolution.
Resolution No. 165-2014, as amended by Resolution No. 45-2015, authorized the improvement of Ridge Road adjacent to the Cessna Addition, as well as the assessment of costs for the improvements to the owners of the Cessna Addition. The improvements have been completed and final costs compiled for the project. The owners have notified Public Works that they wish to pay off the project costs in cash rather than have the County bond the project expenses and levy assessments over time. The owners have provided a waiver of the public hearing and Public Works recommends that the Board of County Commissioners proceed with the assessment resolution.

Financial Considerations: All project costs have been captured in the proposed assessment. Cash payoff will close out the project and avoid future activities and expenses related to the management of debt services and assessments. The total project cost of $192,819.72 will be accessed to Lot 1, Block 1, Cessna Addition to Sedgwick County, Kansas.
Legal Considerations: The project was authorized under K.S.A. 68-728 et.seq. as amended by Charter Resolution No. 61.
Policy Considerations: The project was completed in accordance with the Debt Management Policy.
