Title
Amendment to the agreement with Central Plains Regional Health Care Partnership (CPRHCP), Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners and the City of Wichita to partner with the Sedgwick County Health Department under the Project Access program.

Body
Recommended Action: Approve the amendment and authorize the Chairman to sign.

Background: On January 21, 2015, the BoCC approved the Health Department entering into a partner agreement with the City of Wichita and CPRHCP in the amount of $175,000 for the 2015 Project Access Project. Historically, both Sedgwick County and the City of Wichita have allocated the same amount of funds for Project Access.

The amendment is to increase the County's original funding allocation of $175,000 by an additional $25,000 for Project Access; bringing the County's total funding level to $200,000 for 2015. The additional $25,000 allocation for 2015 will be used to fund salaries and benefits for direct service staff.

The contribution from Sedgwick County will supplement efforts of the CPRHCP to ensure the medically underserved residents of Sedgwick County will have access to medications and supplies that lessen the burden from chronic diseases.

Alternatives: To not approve the amendment.

Financial Considerations:
The term for the partnership agreement will remain the same; January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015. Funds are to be managed through fund center 37002-110.
