Recommended Action: Adopt the Resolution and authorize the Chairman to sign.

Background:

The Board of County Commissioners of Sedgwick County, Kansas, adopted Sedgwick County Resolution No. 197-1986 on the 3^rd day of September, 1986, creating the Sedgwick County Mental Retardation and Physical Disabilities Advisory Board.  The Board of County Commissioners of Sedgwick County, Kansas amended the aforementioned resolution with Sedgwick County Resolution No. 41-1987 on the 18^th day of February, 1987.  Now, the Board of County Commissioners desires to amend resolutions 197-1986 and 41-1987 solely with respect to the name of the advisory board renaming the Sedgwick County Mental Retardation and Physical Disabilities Advisory Board to the Sedgwick County Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board.

Alternatives: If the resolution is not approved the name will remain unchanged.  

Financial Considerations: N/A

Legal Considerations: All of the other provisions of Sedgwick County Resolution Nos. 197-1986 and 41-1987 remain in full force and effect.  This resolution is authorized pursuant to K.S.A. 19-4002a.
