The Fire District would like to apply for a neighborhood grant from Wal Mart. Each Wal Mart store has the ability to donate up to $2,500. The department would apply to two different stores for the purchase of two Ipads. he Ipads will be used in the field to conduct annual building inspections; building plans review, and to help enforce the adopted fire code.
The department was given X amount of Ipads from Sheriff department to start the mobile inspection pilot program. The program to date has been succesful and we would like to have more stations participate in the pilot program. With the funding from this grant, if approved, the department will be able to place to more units in the field to help conduct inspections, and to help conduct more efficient inspections. This program will assist property owners in keeping their buildings up to code.
