Recommended Action: Approve the contract and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Sedgwick County Community Corrections was awarded an allocation of $837,781.00 for the period beginning on July 1, 2015, and ending on June 30, 2016, for Behavioral Health Services. D.B.A. Higher Ground will receive a portion of this allocation to fund recovery specialists to assist with one-on-one mentoring, substance abuse evaluations and treatment and case management services to clients on intensive probation and in the residential setting.

The Sedgwick County Community Corrections Advisory Board approved the Kansas Justice Reinvestment Initiative (JRI) proposal and allocation of funds on May 14, 2015.
The BOCC approved this allocation on May 20, 2015.

Financial Considerations: For 2015, additional budget authority of $247,483 is requested and $7,690 is being requested for 2016 for 33072-253 / 330726-16.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101, et seq., and K.S.A. 75-5295. A simple majority vote is required.
