Background:
On February 18, 2015, the Board of County Commissioners approved a county sponsored agreement for the Health Department with the Careington International Corporation to participate in the MyCountyCares Program and distribute discount prescription, health, and dental cards to Sedgwick County residents.
The Benefits Plan Retail Fees (Schedule 3) of the participation agreement identifies the service plans specific to the MyCountyCares program, cost to participate, and the product codes associated with various vendors who provide the discounts to the consumers participating in the program. Careington has updated several vendor codes within their inventory system and has requested the original agreement be amended to incorporate the new changes.

Financial Considerations: No financial impact is expected from the recommended action.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this amendment is K.S.A. 19-101a et seq.and this amendment may be approved by the Board of County Commissioners pursuant to Charter Resolution No. 65. Approval is by simple majority vote.
Policy Considerations: All Sedgwick County policies were followed in the development of this agreement.
