RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the amendment to the agreement to change the date that notice of termination is to be given pursuant to paragraph 12 of said agreement.

Body

Background: The Board of County Commissioners of Sedgwick County, Kansas entered into an agreement with the Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition ("GWEDC") and the City of Wichita ("City") on the 11^th day of December, 2013, to provide certain levels of funding to GWEDC for the years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.  Paragraph 12 of said agreement states that either party may terminate the agreement by giving written notice by June 1 of any year, which termination shall be effective the following January 1.   This paragraph 12 is being deleted in its entirety and replaced by a new section stating that either parting may terminate this agreement by giving written notice to the other party by September 1, of any year, which termination shall be effective the following January 1.
