Recommended Action: Set public hearing and approve publication of the Notice of Hearing in the official County newspaper.
Background: Pursuant to K.S.A. 19-3604(b) the following landowners have petitioned for the inclusion of lands within the boundaries of the fire district:
Dornbusch, James D. & Tiffany D. - 14230 W. 70th Circle North, Colwich, Kansas 67030
Leiker, Todd & Janet K. - 14201 W. 70th Circle N, Colwich Kansas 67030
Rife, David A. & Christi L. - 7025 N. 142nd St. W., Colwich, Kansas 67030
Weninger, Douglas M. - 13360 W. 53rd St. N, Maize, Kansas 67101
The petitions has been duly signed by owners of at least ten percent of the area of the land seeking to alter the boundaries of the Fire District No. 1 and have been filed in the office of the County Clerk. A public hearing is necessary to determine the advisability of increasing the boundaries of the fire district to include the lands subject to the petition.
