Mr. Youngers will be filling the unexpired term of Daran Lemon, whose resignation was accepted October 15, 2014. Township Board positions are elected positions. If a resignation is accepted before the expiration of said term, the County Commissioner or Commissioners of that Township are responsible for appointing an individual to complete the unexpired term, which expires January 8, 2017, per KSA 25-313.
