The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) has historically provided 1/3 of the costs of materials and operating expenses of the Exploited and Missing Child Unit (EMCU). This amendment renews and amends the original 2010 Contract for Operation and Finance. It provides funding for the year 2015 by DCF and incorporates the 2015 EMCU MOU (revised 2/10/15), the 2015 EMCU Budget reduced by the cost of one detective position not included in the shared funding formula and the state's Contractual Provisions Attachment Form DA 146a (Rev. 6-12). According to the amendment, DCF will provide funding of $40,257 for 2015.
Alternatives: Do not sign the amendment and absorb the costs in the County General Fund.
Financial Considerations: Cost Center 17014-110 - Revenues of $40,257
Legal Considerations: K.S.A. 19-101 and K.S.A. 19-212 provide authority for this action. A simple majority vote is required. The terms and conditions of this contract are substantially similar to prior agreements. This contract amendment has been reviewed and approved by the County Counselor's Office.
