Agreement with Central Plains Regional Health Care Partnership (CPRHCP), Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners and the City of Wichita to partner with the Sedgwick County Health Department under the Project Access program.

Recommended Action: Approve the agreement and authorize the Chairman to sign.

Background: On January 21, 2015, the Health Department presented the 2015-16 Project Access agreement in the amount of $208,490 to the BoCC for approval. The BoCC voted to approve the agreement; and then amended the amount that was proposed to $175,000, which is reflected in the agreement.

The funding level for 2015 from Sedgwick County will be $175,000; a reduction of ($33,490) compared to $208,490 for 2013 and 2014. The $175,000 allocation in 2015 will be used to fund portions of numerous salaried positions, as well as, pay for prescriptions and durable medical equipment. The contribution from Sedgwick County will supplement efforts of the CPRHCP to ensure the medically underserved residents of Sedgwick County will have access to medications and supplies that lessen the burden from chronic diseases.

Financial Considerations: The proposed agreement will be effective from January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015 and funded by the 2015 Adopted Budget. Funds are managed through fund center 37002-110.

Budget Authority Adjustment: No additional budget authority is being requested. Sufficient budget authority is included in the 2015 Adopted budget.
