Title
Acceptance of a donation from Duck's Flying Discs.

Body
Recommended Action: Accept the donation of 15 frisbees to play disc golf in Riverside Park.

Duck's Flying Discs has graciously donated 15 frisbees for COMCARE's Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). Clients will be able to use these frisbees to play disc golf in Riverside Park. The CSU provides a safe, structured environment for out-of-home stabilization and serves as a community-based alternative to psychiatric hospitalization. At the CSU clients have access to clinician and case manager who specialize in mental health crisis intervention. Part of these interventions involve using naturally accruing resources that connect clients back with the community in order to help stabilize client for their return home. One of these activities, thanks to Duck's Flying Discs, will now be playing disc golf in Riverside Park. In addition to being a great intervention for clients, disc golf is a free activity that can be used many times.

Alternatives: If this donation is not accepted clients at the CSU will not have the option to engage in playing disc golf as part of the stabilization process while at the CSU. Other alternatives will have to be provided by CSU staff.

Financial Considerations: The donation of 15 frisbees is valued at $99.

Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101 and a simple majority vote is required.

Policy Considerations: All Sedgwick County policies have been followed in the acceptance of this donation.
