Resolution of Sedgwick County relating to withdrawing from the Regional Economic Area Partnership (REAP).

Recommended Action: Approve the Resolution.
The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) of Sedgwick County adopted an Interlocal Agreement ("Agreement") in October 2006 to become a member of the Regional Economic Area Partnership (REAP). To withdraw from the Agreement, a sixty (60) day written notice must be given to the Executive Officer of REAP along with an resolution stating said action. After discussion during the BOCC meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015 it was decided that Sedgwick County will withdraw from REAP.
Alternatives: If the resolution is not approved, Sedgwick County will be unable to withdraw from the Interlocal Agreement.
Financial Considerations: The 2015 adopted budget included an allocation of $35,570 for REAP membership.
Legal Considerations: A simple-majority vote is required to adopt the resolution.
