Recommended Action: Approve the item and authorize the Chairman to sign the termination.
Although the old radio system operated on four sites, the new radio system operates on 10 sites. This tower site was needed for the old radio system, but it is not being utilized with the new system. All Sedgwick County property has been removed.
Alternatives: Continue to pay the lease.
Financial Considerations: The lease cost was $1,952.76 per month. Although this lease is ending, these costs will be transitioned to the new leases.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101, et seq. A simple majority vote is required.
