ADOPTION OF THE 2015 SAFETY SLOGAN FOR SEDGWICK COUNTY EMPLOYEES: "Sedgwick County
working safely for you!"

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt the safety slogan and allow presentation of a framed poster and other safety related items to Todd Reynolds, Sedgwick County Appraiser's Office, winner of the 2015 Safety Slogan Contest.

As part of a continual effort to promote safety awareness since 1994, the Board of County Commissioners has supported the adoption of an annual safety slogan for Sedgwick County employees. Todd Reynolds, Sedgwick County Appraiser's Office, submitted this year's winning slogan, " Sedgwick County
working safely for you!" Each year employees are asked to participate in the safety slogan contest by submitting slogans. Selection of the safety slogan is made by a committee who votes on the employee submissions.

Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101, et seq. A simple majority vote is required. Adoption of this slogan has no foreseeable legal ramifications
