Title
Addendum to contract with Computer Sciences Corporation to provide RISKMASTER MESA.

Body
Recommended Action: Approve the addendum and authorize the Chairman to sign.

Background: In 2000, Sedgwick County purchased a software series and maintenance contracts and addendums to manage our workers compensation, vehicle, and general claims.  In 2009, a new addendum was signed for a 5 year contract, which is currently set to expire on April 1, 2015.  This server-based software series is maintained by Sedgwick County DIO-IT with additional support from Computer Sciences Corporation, which is routinely utilized for new modules, software updates, and other support services.  Sedgwick County Risk Management staff depend on this software series to monitor and maintain our claim files.  Since Sedgwick County is self insured, this software series and addendum is crucial to our daily operations and maintaining our current level of services to our employees and the citizens of Sedgwick County.

This is a renewal agreement. There were no changes made to the contract other than a slight increase in price, however the price will be consistent for the next 5 years rather than in past years with a slight increase in price each year.

Alternatives: If this addendum isn't approved, we would need to seek a different software series to be able to maintain our electronic claim files.

Financial Considerations:
Cost: $23,946.58 annual for a 5 year contract price of $119,732.90
Term: 04/01/15-3/31/20
Funding Source: 74001-612

Budget Authority Adjustment:  No additional budget authority is being requested, sufficient authority is included in the 2015 budget.

Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101 and a simple majority vote is required.

Policy Considerations: All Sedgwick County policies have been followed in the development of this renewal agreement.
