Title
Amendment to developmental disability service agreement for Kansas Elks Training Center for the Handicapped, Inc. (KETCH).

Body
Recommended Action: Approve the amendment and authorize the Chairman to sign.

This amendment to the Developmental Disability Service Agreement for Kansas Elks Training Center for the Handicapped, Inc. (KETCH) changes the current agreement by eliminating assistive services and adding an ending date of February 1, 2015 for Supportive Home Care Services. The provider does not provide assistive services and has decided to no longer offer supportive home care after February 1, 2015. All other services provided will remain in effect through August 31, 2015.

The current agreement serves to subcontract the provision of Intellectual and Developmental Disability (ID/DD) services in Sedgwick County to organizations and individuals that have met Kansas Department on Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) and Community Developmental Disability Organization (CDDO) standards. As the CDDO contracting with KDADS for Sedgwick County, these agreements assure that services are provided for eligible individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

The agreement provides both the ability to bill the Medicaid system directly and to receive payment from Sedgwick County for services that are provided to eligible individuals through August 31, 2015. The annual affiliation agreement for KETCH was approved on 11/12/14.

Alternatives: The SCDDO is required to contract with qualified service providers that have been selected by an individual who is eligible to receive intellectual and developmental disability services.

Financial Considerations: The annual affiliation agreement was approved on 11/12/14. No additional financial considerations are needed for the amendment.

Budget Authority Adjustment: No additional budget authority is being requested.
Sufficient authority is included in the 2014 and 2015 budgets.
