Body
Employees of Sedgwick County raised $97,185 to support United Way in 2013.  Since 2001, Sedgwick County employees have pledged $1.4 million to United Way of the Plains.

The Sedgwick County Commissioners' Office and the Sedgwick County Counselor's Office are receiving the Silver Campaign Award from United Way of the Plains.  The Silver Campaign Award is presented to organizations who achieve 50 to 74 percent of their potential.

The Sedgwick County Manager's Office is receiving the Pinnacle Campaign Award from the United Way of the Plains.  The Pinnacle Award is bestowed to organizations reaching 100 percent or more of their potential.  An organization's potential is equal to every employee donating one hour's pay per month.  If everyone in Sedgwick County donated one hour's pay per month the United Way of the Plains would raise $58.5 million.

Sedgwick County has provided a Loaned Executive to assist with the annual fall campaign every year the program has been in existence.  The 2013 Loaned Executive was Daniel Kliewer with Sedgwick County EMS.

Sedgwick County and United Way of the Plains partner on a variety of projects and coalitions throughout the year including:

- Point in Time Count

- Partnership with Emergency Management and 2-1-1 during disasters.
