DONATION OF $1,500 TO THE SEDGWICK COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES (EMS) FROM AIR PROJECTS AND CHEMICALS, INC.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve acceptance of the donation and acknowledge Air Products for their generosity and community support and authorize the Chairman to sign a letter of appreciation.

Air Products and Chemicals Incorporated have a long-standing commitment with community partners to assist with worthy initiatives, programs, and projects that are not normally part of established budgets. Air Products located at 6601 S. Ridge Rd. has committed a donation of $1,500.00 to Sedgwick County EMS. The donation will be used to support several employee and patient safety initatives and programs.
Alternatives: N/A
Financial Considerations: The amount of the donation is $1,500.00 and would be deposited into a new cost center (12003-258). I am requesting the funds be given budget authority once the new cost center is approved for 2012 and the remaining balance be transferred and given budget authority for 2013.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority is required.
