RECOMMENDED ACTION: Conduct public hearing, receive comments and close public hearing. Adopt the resolution.

On May 22, 2013, the Board of County Commissioners (the “Board”) approved the Statement of Final Costs, Assessment Roll and Notice of Public Hearing for the project hereinafter set forth (the “Project”), set June 5, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. as the date for conduct of public hearing on the proposed assessments; and authorized notice of such public hearing to be published one time in the official newspaper of the County on May 24, 2013 and to be mailed on said date to the affected property owners.

The Project was authorized pursuant to K.S.A. 19-27,181 et seq., as amended by Charter Resolution No. 62 of the County, and was initiated by a petition signed by the owners of the property within the respective benefit districts.

The petition has been signed by 100% of the owners of record of the area within the proposed benefit district, as determined by Sedgwick County Public Works. Lots 1 through 3, Block 1, Greenwich Plaza Addition, Sedgwick County, Kansas, will be assessed 100% of the Improvements. In the event that that such parcel is subdivided, the assessment on that parcel shall be prorated to the new parcels on the basis of land area.

Subsequent to the conclusion of the public hearing, a resolution is submitted for consideration; which resolution will levy assessments for the above-referenced project. 100% of the costs of the project shall be assessed in the manner prescribed in the resolution.
