REPORT ON BOARD APPOINTMENTS.

Body
Background: The Board of County Commissioners and/or its appointees and/or County representatives serve on 42 Advisory Boards or Boards of Directors of organizations (including those boards in the attachment hereto). The majority of these advisory boards were created by the Board of County Commissioners, although some boards are created or mandated by statute. In addition, boards serving the interests of the citizens of Sedgwick County have been created by individual organizations to which Sedgwick County sometimes contributes funds for the benefit of its citizens.
Recently, appendices were added to the Board Books kept on file by the Commissioners to clarify how certain appointments are made and by whom those appointments are made. The attached report addresses the following boards listed on said appendices:

8. Sedgwick County Technical Education and Training (SCTETA)

10. Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (WAMPO)
11. Wichita Downtown Development Corporation (WDDC)
12. Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum
13. Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission
