Title
Resolution to Amend the Sedgwick County Sign Code.
Body
Recommended Action: Approve the resolution.
The Board of County Commissioners adopted a new sign code on August 16, 2017 pursuant to Resolution No. 141-2017. Upon further review, Sedgwick County staff believes that a modification should be made to that resolution such that certain real estate signs should be exempted from permitting requirements due to a compelling governmental interest in property owners being able to have a sign on their property indicating that it is for sale.
As a result, the resolution proposes to amend portions of Section 6-344 of the County’s sign code.
