Title
PUBLIC SAFETY DIVISION DEPARTMENTAL AND INDIVIDUAL RECOGNITION FOR 2011.
Presented by: Robert Lamkey, Director of Public Safety.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive and file.
Body
The men and women of the Division of Public Safety, like their counterparts throughout Sedgwick County Government, deliver quality public services everyday. Whether it is answering a 911 call, responding to a medical emergency or fire, preparing the community for an emergency, effectively dealing with youth and adults in the criminal justice system and providing scientific evidence to law enforcement and answers to families who have lost a loved one--committed and talented public servants answer the call to duty. Occasionally, in the course of just doing what comes naturally, some receive added recognition from outside agencies and professional associations. As 2011 is now history and we look ahead to a busy 2012, it is a good time to highlight just a few of the achievements and recognition from last year.
