Recommended Action: Approve the amendment and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Background: Breakthrough Club of Sedgwick County will discontinue offering Medicaid billable services, including psychosocial rehabilitation, case management, and attendant care services. The proposed amendment extends the agreement between COMCARE and Breakthrough Club by three months to allow for the transfer and closing of those clients as appropriate.
Alternatives: If the contract were not extended, Breakthrough Club would not have time to work with clients to help them access alternative resources for these services.
Financial Considerations: None. The agreement's original financial considerations will not be changed.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority vote is required.
Policy Considerations: All Sedgwick County policies have been followed in the development of this amendment.
