Background: This resolution will amend resolution 269-07 which was passed in December 2007. The amendment permits the County Manager to waive job posting procedures when he deems appropriate. The addition to the resolution is listed under section IV part B.
Alternatives: Do not amend the resolution.

Legal Considerations: The Board of County Commissioners sitting as the Governing Body of Fire District #1 has the authority pursuant to K.S.A. 19-3601 et seq. To adopt personnel policy and procedures on behalf of the Fire District. This action requires a simple majority vote.
