Background: The Sedgwick County Suicide Prevention Coalition will host the 8th Annual ‘Link 4 Life’ Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention in an exciting new venue on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Old Cowtown Museum. The Open 5K Run (with start and finish chip timing) will start at 7:40 a.m., the one-mile Family Walk (all ages) and special distance events for youth 3 to 18 years of age will begin at 8:30 a.m. The ‘Link 4 Life’ Run/Walk will be filled with exciting activities for all ages and will conclude with a celebration party with awards, entertainment, food, exhibits and hearty handshakes.
Legal Considerations: The Sedgwick County Legal Department has been notified of the annual run. The authority for this item is K.S.A. 19-101.
Policy Considerations: All Sedgwick County policies have been followed.
