Denise and Phil Kline-Neubauer wanted to express their gratitude to first responders by providing lunch, music, and giving each responder a pillow. Over the years, various fire departments have saved their house three different times from fire. The pillows were donated by a company, My Pillow, to Mrs. Kline-Neubauer to hand out to responders. She was overwhelmed with emotion when 600 pillows showed up at her home in a truck for her to hand out to first responders. Mrs. Kline-Neubauer gave pillows to other first responders and would like to give the remaining 40 pillows to Sedgwick County Fire District 1.
The pillows are valued at $40.00 each, for a cumulative value of $1,600.00.
Alternatives: Do not accept the donations and return the pillows to Denise and Phil Kline-Neubauer.
