Recommended Action: Approve the staffing table change.
The Wichita City Council and the Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners have approved a joint Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department; this item will create a Director level position to oversee this department. This position will oversee the merger of City and County Code departments and will help develop a cohesive, unified and progressive organization. This position will also serve as the principal advisor to the City Manager, County Manager, City Council and Board of County Commissioners.
· Eliminate 1 FTE Code Enforcement Director range B430.
· Create 1 FTE Director of Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department range B533.
