Recommended Action: Set the public hearing and approve publication of a notice of hearing in the official County newspaper.
Background:
Pursuant to K.S.A. 19-3604(b) the following landowners have petitioned for the exclusion of land from the boundaries of the fire district:
Schneider, Thomas A. and Lori A. - 1133 N. 343 St. West, Cheney, Kansas 67025.
The petition has been duly signed by owners of at least ten percent of the area of the land seeking to alter the boundaries of the Fire District No. 1 and have been filed in the office of the County Clerk. A public hearing is necessary to determine the advisability of decreasing the boundaries of the fire district to exclude the land subject to the petition.
