Recommended Action: Approve the agreement and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Background: The Association of Community Mental Health Centers of Kansas (ACMHCK) has organized the statewide Service Process Quality Management (SPQM) Dashboard Initiative. A data-driven mental health improvement initiative from the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare, this program will aid mental health centers across the state track and report on performance outcomes to help improve the quality and delivery of service. It is intended to help mental health centers become more efficient as well as consumer focused. This Business Associate agreement outlines the terms for the use and exchange of protected health information. Funding for this statewide initiative is provided through the Association of Community Mental Health Centers of Kansas.
Alternatives: This program offers system-wide improvements that can aid COMCARE in its efforts to be more efficient and effective in service delivery. Without it, the status quo will be maintained.
Financial Considerations: None
Legal Considerations: The Sedgwick County Legal Department has reviewed and approved the agreement. Authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority is required.
Policy Considerations: All Sedgwick County policies have been followed.
