Recommended Action: Approve the agreement and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Approval of this agreement allows the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita Medical Practice Association to continue providing medical services to juveniles placed in Department of Corrections residential facilities. This agreement is for July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
Alternatives: Do not approve the agreement.
Financial Considerations: Funds used are contained in fund centers 33016-110, 33017-110 and 33024-253. Under terms of the agreement, the total amount of compensation paid by the County shall not exceed $208,160 for the 12-month term ending June 30, 2015. The contract rates are flat with the previous contract; no additional budget authority is requested.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority vote is required.
