RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the agreements and authorize the Chairman to sign.  
 
Body
The County has had agreements with most of these contractors for over 14 years to provide services that promote accessibility, health and safety for persons with physical disabilities in order to remain independent in the community.  A total of 4,121 persons with physical disabilities were served in 2011.  
 
Alternatives: Deny the request.  
 
Financial Considerations:  These funds are included in the 2013 Budget adopted August 5, 2012.  Funding recommendations were approved by the Advisory Council on Aging on October 10, 2012. Fund Center: 35001-110 Physical Disabilities ($278,886); Fund Center: 34001-110 Aging Administration ($9,405).

Legal Considerations:  Authority to approve the five agreements is provided by K.S.A. 19-101. Vote to approve shall be by simple majority vote.
 
Policy Considerations:  This action will benefit the well-being of persons with physical disabilities in Sedgwick County by helping them remain independent.
