Riverfest 2015 Sponsor Agreement Between Sedgwick County and Wichita Festivals, Inc.

Recommended Action: Approve the Agreement and Authorize the Chairman to sign.
The Wichita River Festival is nationally acclaimed and the largest special event in Kansas. Last year's event brought outstanding results for our community. In 2015, Sedgwick County will be a co-sponsor for programs for active older adults.
Financial Considerations: $10,000 contribution. Funding will be allocated from the BoCC Contingency (77003-110) to the Culture & Recreation - Community Programs cost center (48001-110) for payment.
Legal Considerations: K.S.A. 19-101 provides authority for this action. A simple majority vote is required. The County has been a sponsor of Riverfest for several years. The terms and conditions of this agreement are substantially similar to prior agreements.
