The joint County Resolution and City of Wichita Ordinance which gives authority to the Emergency Communications Advisory Board requires amending to make current. This resolution was last updated eighteen years ago, in 1994. Attached is the current resolution and the proposed amended resolution which will bring this document to date. The 1994 document stills refers to 911 as the Wichita-Sedgwick County Emergency Communications Department. Some of the articles call for the 911 department to prepare and submit the yearly budget for review by the City Manager. This amendment to the resolution makes current all roles, responsibilities, and authorities of the 911 Advisory Board as they apply to date. In addition, the language of the resolution is made current.
