RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the application for the grant, and if awarded authorize acceptance of the grant, the establishment of budget authority as provided in the financial considerations section of this request, and implementation of the staffing table changes identified in the personnel considerations section of this request.

Grant Summary and Timeline: Since 1983, the Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) has provided grant funding for Community Corrections adult offender programs in Sedgwick County. Before grant awards are announced, KDOC requires the submission of the Community Corrections Comprehensive Plan for SFY14 (July 1, 2013 - June 30, 2014). The signed application is due to KDOC no later than May 1, 2013. The Corrections Advisory Board approved the application on April 11, 2013.
