Background: The Sedgwick County Suicide Prevention Coalition will host the 10th annual "Link 4 Life" Run/Walk for suicide prevention on Saturday, April 13th, 2013 at the Old Cowtown Museum. The Open 5K Run (with start and finish chip timing) will start at 7:40 a.m., and the one-mile Family Walk (all ages) and various distance events for youth ages 3 to 18 will begin starting at 8:30 a.m. The Link 4 Life Run/Walk will be filled with exciting activities for all ages and will conclude with a celebration party that includes awards, entertainment, food, and exhibits.

- By mail using the brochure located on Sedgwick County's website, sedgwickcounty.org;
- In person at the First Gear- 111 N. Mosely, Go Run West- 2556 N. Maize Road, Go Run East- 2350 N. Greenwich Road Suite 1300, or at Cowtown on April 12th from 1:00-6:00pm.

Financial Considerations:
Cost: The total cost of renting the Old Cowtown Museum is $4,400.00 with $750.00 in a damage deposit being returned after the race is completed.

Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101 and a simple majority vote is required.
