RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARD IN THE THIRD COUNTY COMMISSION DISTRICT OF SEDGWICK COUNTY.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt the resolution.
Body
This resolution would establish a citizens advisory board ("CAB") in the Third District to advise and provide feedback upon a range of matters that may impact that district and the County as a whole. The resolution proposes the CAB to be comprised of between 7 and 10 members, all of whom would be required to be residents of the district. Meetings of the CAB would generally occur on a monthly basis and the County Commissioner for the Third District would not serve on the CAB.

Legal Considerations: This can be completed pursuant to the County's home rule powers in K.S.A. 19-101, et seq. Approval is by simple majority vote.
