DONATION TO SEDGWICK COUNTY EMS FROM WAL-MART.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Accept the donation, and authorize the Chairman to sign a letter of appreciation.

Wal-Mart stores have a long-established history of donation and aid to local agencies to assist with worthy projects that are not normally part of local budget, but will assist local public safety agencies. Wal-Mart at 501 E. Pawnee, Wichita, has committed a donation of $500.00. This donation will be used to assist with the operational support of the EMS Bike Medic Program that will assist the department in responding to calls for EMS service during mass gatherings, such as the McConnell Air Show and the Wichita River Festival.

Financial Considerations: The amount of the donation is $500.00 and would be deposited into cost center 12002-258.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority is required.
