Approval of an updated Memorandum of Understanding regarding the Wichita/Sedgwick County Exploited and Missing Child Unit (EMCU).

Recommended Action: Approve the Memorandum of Understanding, and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Background: This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) explains the staffing, functions and duties to be performed as well as the policy and scope of activities that occur under this joint investigative unit. This MOU was last updated in June, 2011. All members of the executive committee of EMCU have reviewed and approved the MOU.
Alternatives: Do not sign the Memorandum of Understanding.

Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority is required.
