The 2010 Capital Improvement Program included funding for the construction of 45th St. North from Webb Road to Greenwich Road and 53rd St. North from Webb Road to Greenwich Road. The purpose of these projects is to provide infrastructure to support a large industrial park. The roads will be designed to a three lane rural standard with pavement that is sufficient to support heavy truck traffic. The intersection of 53rd and Greenwich will be realigned to provide separation from the railroad crossing on Greenwich Road.

Legal Considerations: The BoCC is authorized to make all contracts in relation to the property and concerns of the county under K.S.A. 19-101 fourth; and to perform such duties as required by law concerning roads under K.S.A. 19-212 Ninth. This contract is similar in terms and conditions to prior contracts approved by the BoCC for this purpose.
