BACKGROUND:
The Children's Dental Clinic provides free dental care to over 550 uninsured children each year from our community who meet eligibility requirements. Services are provided by staff hygienists, Wichita State University Hygiene students, under the direct supervision of the staff hygienists, and over 25 volunteer dentists and oral surgeons. The staff hygienists also provide free dental exams to over 17,000 Sedgwick County school children each year.
ANALYSIS:
The Children's Dental Clinic will use the funding to purchase educational material, brochures and handouts for its clients and the community.
Alternatives: A) Decline the donation from Aldersgate Methodist Church; B) seek additional funding from an alternate source to cover the costs for the printed materials; or C) reduce the number of printed materials distributed in the community and to clients.

Funds are disbursed through fund center 38058-274 (Dental Donations).
