Expected measurable outcomes: Access to KLC training will better equip Department of Public Services staff and stakeholders to make progress on identified goals. With the support of KLC we would hope to see progress in the following areas: a greater number of seniors are able to stay in their homes; individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities will receive services supporting community inclusion; people with serious mental illness are able to live in the community without hospitalization or incarceration; fewer individuals experience homelessness; fewer babies are born with low birth weights; more citizens enjoy cultural venues supported by the County including increased satisfaction with the Zoo and Exploration Place. We would expect to see more staff and stakeholders in activities designed to make progress on County goals. We would see higher levels of employee engagement and satisfaction because they would feel empowered to exercise leadership in every role within the divisions. Stakeholders in the community would have access to leadership development training that might not otherwise be made available to them through other avenues.
Requirements from Sedgwick County: Allow staff time to participate in the professional development opportunity.
