Ten (10) 2018 Aging mill levy contracts for In-Home and Community Services.

Recommended Action: Approve the contracts and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Background: These ten contracts are for In-Home and Community Service programs such as Senior Companion, Meals on Wheels, Roving Pantry, Commodity Delivery and Legal Services that assist older adults to live quality lives and remain in their home for as long as possible. The Sedgwick County Advisory Council on Aging reviewed and approved funding recommendations at the September 13, 2017 meeting.
Terms: For the period beginning January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018.
Alternatives: Not approve the contracts.

Budget Authority Adjustment: Sufficient authority is included in the 2018 budget approved August 2, 2017, no additional budget authority is being requested.
Legal Considerations: The County can enter into the referenced contracts under its home rule powers, as provided for by K.S.A. 19-101 et seq. Approval is by simple majority vote.
