2. Purpose of the Contract (please be specific) Emergency Communications currently contracts with SBA Towers II LLC to house radio equipment on its communication tower located at 1255 South 383rd Street West, Cheney, KS. Emergency Communications seeks to install ice shields over the radio equipment on this tower. In order to install the ice shields, an amendment to the current site agreement must be in place. The amendment includes an updated listing of Sedgwick County equipment on the tower and an increase of the monthly lease fee by $500 for the additional equipment. Additionally, it extends the lease agreement by 5 years.
3. Justification for the Contract
a. Do we perform the services in house? No
b. Is there an option to perform the services in house? No
c. Do any other current County vendors provide the services (i.e., could we amend a current contract to add these services)? No
4. Scope of the Contract
a. What services specifically will the Contractor be providing? The contractor will be providing an appropriate tower for housing of the public safety radio system.
b. In the alternative, if this is a revenue-generating contract for the County, what services specifically will the County be providing?
