The City of Wichita and Sedgwick County have agreed to purchase a new building located on WSU's Innovation Campus which will be used for training law enforcement officers, detention deputies, and other related purposes. As a part of the agreement to purchase the building, the City and County agreed to allow WSU to occupy the 3rd floor of the building for holding criminal justice classes.
Alternatives: Not approve the agreement.
Financial Considerations: WSU will pay $1.00 in rent.
Legal Considerations: This action is authorized by K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority vote is required.
