Recommended Action: Approve the One Year Extension for Delta Dental.
Delta Dental offers comprehensive dental benefits under a self-funding program to eligible Sedgwick County employees and their eligible dependents. The County uses Delta Dental to investigate, administer, process and adjust the claims of its employees for dental benefits. The County’s current contract with Delta Dental expires on December 31, 2016, and now requires an extension through calendar year 2017.
Alternatives:
Financial Considerations: The 2017 administrative rate will be $3.26 per participant per month, an increase of 4.8 percent from 2016 costs of $3.11 per participant per month.
