A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNTY COMMISSION AUTHORITY TO PROVIDE NOTICE TO THE GREATER WICHITA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COALITION AND THE CITY OF WICHITA OF ITS INTENT TO TERMINATE AGREEMENT.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt the Resolution and authorize the Chairman to sign the letters of intent to terminate funding agreement to be delivered no later than June 1, 2015.
Body
The Board of County Commissioners of Sedgwick County, Kansas entered into an agreement with the Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition ("GWEDC") and the City of Wichita ("City") on the 11th day of December, 2013, to provide certain levels of funding to GWEDC for the years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Paragraph 12 of said Agreement states that either party may terminate the agreement by giving written notice by June 1 of any year, which termination shall be effective the following January 1.
Alternatives: The BoCC could choose to not adopt the Resolution leaving the agreement in full force.
