Recommended Action: Approve acceptance of the donation and acknowledge Ms. Rogers for her generosity and authorize the Chairman to sign a letter of appreciation.
Ms. Olivia Rogers wants to show her appreciation and acknowledge two Sedgwick County employees, Dennis Mauk, EMS, and Traci Lolley, COMCARE, for their help with a complex billing issue by donating $100.00 to EMS.
Alternatives: N/A
Financial Considerations: The total amount of the donation, $100.00, will be deposited into cost center 12003-258. If approved, budget authority should be authorized, and any budget authority remaining at the end of 2014 should be authorized for establishment in 2015.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority is required.
